What's God's Masterplan? Merging Faith and Business for a Fulfilling Life
Unveiling the Missing Puzzle Piece: How Integrating Faith into Business Leads to True Success and Fulfillment
It's not 42.
TL;DR: It's having a systematized good work routine, producing work that allows people who find you to give you fair value for your output. Rinse, repeat, pray, praise, and reinvest your time into new work.
I've fumbled my business journey for 10 years now because I didn't have the final puzzle piece to my masterpiece I was constructing, and I'll tell you all about it through this article.
Ten years is a long time being a solo founder of your own path ahead, and in some sense knowing that at the end of each month for 120 months straight, you could face money or health problems towards the climb of figuring out who you are in this world.
I attempted to be everything for every potential client I met because I thought I could be.
This was the horcrux that needed to die, but I didn't want it to, for ten years straight, but this month it did, and this post reaching you marks that change. I am no longer focused on aiming to be immortal in some form with my output given, shared, or traded with other people on earth.
The universal source of truth lies with God.
Life is not to make, be, or earn a mark here; it's the realization you can always seek forgiveness with other human beings and pursue a better way of life than a few moments ago of your past self, at any place and anytime in your life.
Work is important, in life as in leisure, and we are always seeking it for good reasons. BizHorizon was created to emphasize that work doesn't need to be boring, daunting, or without purpose for you and me to get through our days.
Good works come from within you, and there are some great solutions that output themselves walking this path, knowing that you are no longer attaching yourself to the world and the world is not attaching itself to you. You become free through good works, but you can only be saved by Jesus Christ.
I didn't include Jesus in my business for ten years, thinking I had to be professional about it, even though everything I was at that point and now is because of Him.
By the grace of God, you and I have the ability to make things better in this life and for others in the life that comes after this one.
For as long as I can remember, I've never feared death. It surprised me to learn that others did fear it, and many avoid thinking about it altogether. Of course, if I knew my time was coming, I'd probably feel sad and scared. But even then, I know God would be there to comfort me.
I only hope I don't die too early to complete the good works God once destined and blessed me to do here on earth. If there's one that can help you find the path back to His given destiny for you, it's God, even in the last breath of life here.
Why so much talk about life and business in one post?
Why not? We shouldn't fear life; we should honor it and embrace it for the blessings it gives to us, freely, without needing anything other than to exist, and that existence was given to all of us by God.
If God gave us existence and He asks us in return to honor that existence being His children and bask in His glory, why are we getting so easily corrupted by the time given to us here on earth? I think it's one of those big questions you and I must ask ourselves daily while we recite the Lord's prayer with our hands folded and keeping our hearts open.
"Evil exists."
There is an actual answer to so many things in life knowing this simple fact.
Sometimes evil is so intricate and detailed it hides in plain sight because we humans look at complexity as something beautiful when in reality, the truth is far easier to see, but our willpower to acknowledge truth has been tainted or so corrupted we have a hard time filtering it.
For the past ten years, I was unknowingly caught in evil's complex scheme. This ego plan kept me too busy to efficiently do good works for God or honor His gifts. It all began when I started out overconfident and faithless. I arrogantly pointed to the future, demanding that time itself would reward me with millions of dollars simply for being who I was.
That rock pounding through time soon turned to despair and negligence of the valuable resources given to me, as I couldn't reach the worldly figures I professed I was worth.
Looking back now, with God's guidance, I realize those ten years weren't wasted. God was actually preparing me for something greater. It took me years to understand that He was the one guiding me all along, even when I didn't recognize it.
God blessed me with a loving family: a wife, a son, and a daughter. They are my guiding Northern Lights in the darkness and my radiant Rainbows in the light of day. These precious gifts were bestowed upon me when I was ready to cherish them, nurture them with endless love, and share the message of Jesus Christ from the depths of my heart to them.
I am used to measuring every move of time and things in money. It's hard for me not to think about amounts and calculate costs of most events in life. I can see God is tugging my heart, to trust Him completely, and leave my failed trust in knowing how much things are worth in earthly metrics. Instead give abundantly and receive in abundance.
